Strip away color and what’s left is line, pressure, and control. Drawing is where a lot of artists do their most honest work. This collection runs from graphite portraits and charcoal studies to looser ink sketches that read almost like notes an artist made to themselves before committing to a bigger piece. Some works here are finished pieces in their own right, others are studies for larger paintings, which gives you a rare look at how an artist actually thinks before the color goes on. It’s a quieter category than most of what we carry, and it tends to suit collectors who want something intimate on a wall rather than a big statement piece.
