Urooj Jehan Chughtai

Biography
Urooj Jehan Chughtai is a Pakistani miniature artist whose practice is rooted in the contemporary tradition of South Asian miniature painting. Working primarily in gouache on Wasli, she explores the possibilities of detailed composition, colour, form, and narrative within the miniature format.

Her work has been featured in several group exhibitions dedicated to contemporary miniature art in Pakistan, including Agglomeration of Miniatures (2021), Agglomeration of Miniatures II (2022), and Accumulation of Miniatures (2024). Her participation in these exhibitions places her within the growing community of artists continuing to develop and reinterpret the miniature tradition in contemporary practice.
